Delhi Capitals (DC) is on the top of the Women’s Premier League points table. DC fetched their last league win by defeating the third position holder UP Warriorz (UPW). There were only two matches left to know which team is going to lift the first WPL trophy. One is a play-off and the other one is the most awaited finale.
Women’s Premier League points table: Ranking Position
In the Women’s Premier League points table DC is on the top, then comes Mumbai Indians (MI), and UPW in the third position. RCB and Gujarat Giants are ending this inaugural WPL in fourth and fifth position respectively. RCB finally got the opportunity to win in their 6th and 7th matches, which slightly helps to overshadow their back-to-back first five defeat. GG’s 6-loss match also could not help much.
It seems like MI’s 5 winning streak at the beginning of WPL went futile, as they came one position down from one win in the last three matches. They won their last league match against Royal Challengers Bangalore by 4 wickets when 21 balls were still left.
points table: NRR
Talking about the net run rate (NRR) in the Women’s Premier League points table, only DC and MI are with positive NRR. DC has +1.856 NRR with 12 points from 6 wins. Whereas, MI also has the same point, but their NRR is +1.711. From UPW, negative NRR has started. They have -0.200 NRR and equal win and lose points, 4. RCB and GG are with NRR of -1.137 and -2.220 respectively and have 2 wins each.
