Women IPL Media Right: The crucial moment for women’s cricket in India has come. The media rights for Women Indian Premier League (WIPL) put up for auction today. According to information obtained by InsideSport, the top 3 broadcasters and OTT services in the nation will submit bids for the rights. Disney+ Star, Sony-ZEE Combine, and Viacom18 are the three front-runners in the competition for the WIPL Media Rights. By Monday afternoon, the BCCI can declare the BIDS winner. Starting at 10 AM, the Taj Santa Cruz will host the bid submission.
Earlier, media rights auction given a four-day extension. The best bidder, if not necessarily the highest, will win the rights after a closed bidding procedure.
However, It is important to note that women’s cricket rights auctioned off for the first time in India. The outcome of the auction will establish benchmarks for India’s commercialization of women’s cricket.
