Artturi Lehkonen is a Finnish professional ice hockey player. Lehkonen began playing hockey as a kid and was picked by the Montreal Canadiens in the second round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Lehkonen debuted in the NHL in 2016 and rapidly established himself as a talented player. Career as a player
He was born in Piikkiö and raised in Turku. As a teenager, he played for TuTo and TPS before making his debut in Finland’s top tier Liiga with TPS in 2011-12. Before to the 2012-13 season, he joined neighbouring Liiga club KalPa.
Lehkonen signed a two-year deal with Frölunda HC on March 28, 2014, to leave KalPa of the Finnish Liiga and continue his career in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL).

On July 11, 2019, the Canadiens re-signed Lehkonen to a two-year, $4.8 million contract deal. Ismo Lehkonen, a former professional hockey player and coach, is Lehkonen’s father.
