Aston Villa finally got their preferred choice Steven Gerrard as they appointed him as their new manager. Their preferred candidates for the role are Steven Gerrard and Roberto Martinez, especially Steven Gerrard. Therefore on Thursday, the deal was finally done with the Rangers to bring Steven Gerrard in Villa Park.


Aston Villa pays the compensation of £3.25 million to the Rangers as per the contract. Hence, Villa signs him as a new head coach at Villa Park on a contract of 3 and half years.
