South Africa vs India:- Virat Kohli praised the captaincy of KL Rahu


In the second Test match of South Africa vs India. KL Rahul took the captaincy of Team India, in the absence of their captain Virat Kohli due to being unfit. For this reason, KL Rahul becomes the captain for India in the second test. Under the captaincy of Rahul, India could not win the match and had to face 7 wickets defeat.

Currently, team India is on a tour of South Africa where 3 matches of test series are being played between both the teams and the series is tied on 1-1. So, in this matter, Virat Kohli takes responsibility for the defeat and praised the captaincy of KL Rahul

How Kohli praised KL Rahul and his captaincy

“Rahul is a balanced captain, but the South African team played better in Johannesburg. Rahul captained well. When I saw his plan and field placement, I felt he was giving his best and going behind the wickets”.

Some former cricketers questioned Rahul being made the caretaker captain so early in the test. While Rahul already captained India previously in ODI and T20 Internationals.

“Everyone has their style. Maybe I would have captained differently on that occasion, but my aim would have been to take wickets as well. Rahul did the same thing”. Virat Kohli further added

In the three test match series, the Indian opener KL Rahul perform very well as he scored a century in the first inning of 1st test. While in the second he could only score 23 runs. Therefore, in the second test as a captain, he scored half a century.

Rahul started his test career in 2014, Dec 26 against Australia. From 2014 to till now he plays 42 matches for India and scored around 2525 runs with a strike rate of 52.87.
