The Los Rojiblancos dominate the Catalan in the very first half with two goals scored by two forwards Thomas Lemar at 33 and Luis Suarez at 44 minutes. Atletico Madrid keeper Jan Oblak didn’t have to do much in yesterday match against Barcelona. He just made a great save against Phillipe Coutinho in 60 minutes when Coutinho shot on Oblak goal. Other than that Barcelona attackers don’t provide many problems on Atletico Madrid goal.


Mario Hermoso (6/10)


Hermoso didn’t make that impact on the first half against Barcelona. In the first 45 minutes, he made often rash decisions in his tackling and pressing.


Stefan Savic (7/10)


Stefan Savic did a brilliant job in the centre back for Madrid. He makes a great impact by recovering 7 balls from Barcelona and cutting the danger on Oblak’s goal. He even plays more comfortably in the second half of the game by enjoying his positive outing.


Jose Gimenez (8/10)


Jose Gimenez supported his defensive players very well by making nine clearances and tackles with his clever positioning. He did a very good job against Dutchman Memphis Depay.

The German keeper Ter Stegen don’t get enough chance to stop but he can push hard to stop Lemar’s shoot

The Uruguayan shows a moderate performance as he left enough space behind him. But several times he recovers the ball in the final third.

Gerard Pique (4/10)

Again the veteran Spanish centre back displays poor performance in back four. But he good job in covering his full-backs with a strong and quick reaction.


Oscar Mingueza (6/10)

Mingueza did very well defending against Yannick Carrasco but he fail to recover his side. As both, the goal of Atletico Madrid comes from his side. The La Liga giants Barcelona right back in the second half get replace by newcomer Lukk de Jong.

In today’s match, the Sergio Dest movement was very predictable. He needs to learn and get more used to with La Liga style.

The Dutchman shows some classy movement with his clever pass, possession and turning sharp and quickly. But couldn’t help the team to lose against Atletico Madrid.

He shows his presence of mind in his foot movement, forward-thinking, quick decision. Gavi looks like a little Pedri. However, the youngster to provide final finish to the team.
