In the Indian Premier League, two new franchises has been add on Monday Ahmedabad and Lucknow announced by BCCI. While in the bidding the two big corporate- CVC Capital Partners (Irelia Company Pte Lt) and RP Sanjiv Goenka Group win the bids against seven other participants. Therefore, the Lucknow (ICP Ltd) brought by Sanjiv Goenka. And Ahmedabad was brought by CVC with a huge amount of Rs 7090 crore Lucknow and 5625 crores Ahmedabad.
After that, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has accumulated a huge amount from the auction of 12000 crores more than their expectation. As for the bidding process, the 22 companies fill the tender document from which only nine companies got to walk in bid event in Dubai.
While the bid price of RPSG is 250% more than the Board of Control for Cricket India’s base price. The process of bidding is were open after the long technical evaluation steps in a sealed envelope. And the event is around 7 hours to announce the winners of auction by BCCI. Therefore, the entire event is made in the presence of both IPL and BCCI top brass like President Sourav Ganguly, Vice President Rajeev Shukla, Secretary Jay Shah, Join Secretary Jayesh George.
From the new season of IPL 2022, there will be 10 teams with 74 thrilling matches. Each of the team’s need to play 14 matches in the campaign it consisting of seven home and seven away matches. After the announcement the BCCI president Sourav Ganguly said that he feels good that the two new teams have been add to IPL with a very high valuation. And will spread to two more cites Lucknow and Ahmedabad.
Apart from Lucknow and Ahmedabad, the other four cities were include in the bid Guwahati, Indore, Cuttack and Dharmashala. However, the business tycoon Sanjiv Goenka was happy to be back in IPL after the 2016 and 2017 seasons. But this time as a fully owned franchise, not a temporary one as early. During his two seasons at IPL, he temporarily own the Pune franchise as Chennai Super Kings was ban for two seasons due to fixing related issues.
