An Indian entrepreneur happens to be the LSG Owner, and his name is Sanjiv Goenka. He is the founder and chairman of RPSG Group. He owns the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) franchise in Indian Premier League (IPL) with INR 7090 crore in 2022. The company has been serving its service since 1899.

LSG introduced itself in 2022 as a brand-new team. The team started showing their strength from the very first match but unfortunately could not make it to the finale. The franchise is confirmed in this tournament for the upcoming 8 more years with a 10 years contract with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). They invested INR 89.90 crore to build the team for IPL. The company once tried to establish itself in this league by owning Rising Pune Supergiants, which was later renamed Rising Pune Supergiant. But it got shadowed when Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals made a comeback in the league.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) unveiled its new club jersey in the presence of franchise owner Sanjiv Goenka and the global mentor. Captain KL Rahul and Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) Jay Shah were also present there at that time. The design of the jersey did by Kunal Rawal. It represents the sense of sportsmanship, unity, performance, and relentless spirit for cricket.
