ICC World Test Championship Points Table Updated


The first and longest format of the game the Test is the match which is played for 5 days. In this game players mentality and patients are tested due to the duration period. In 2019 the ICC has introduced the World Test Championship, it is the only format that don’t have a Championship trophy.

But now the each and every format of the game has their own championship. While the Current champion of WTC is New Zealand. The ICC World Test Championship has been going on for a few years now. It is a major event for all of the cricketing nations at the moment. After every match, the ICC World Test Championship point table changes slightly.

Currently, the ICC Test Championship is in its second edition, with some teams of the cricket world playing beautifully. On the other hand, other teams have been disappointing, which is directly affecting the points table.

In the meantime, the ICC Test Championship 2021-23 points table has been released. The newly released points table has not seen much change, with Sri Lanka and Australia still at the top, while India and England are way down in the standings.

Position of all teams in the ICC World Test Championship

Taking a look at the points table, Sri Lanka’s team is in first place. With a 100% result, and two victories in two matches, they have 24 points. The Australians are second. With four wins and a draw, they have 86.66 percent. Also, there are 52 points.

Pakistan clinched third place after playing 3 matches, winning one and drawing two, with a percentage of 75.50, 36 points.

A recent victory over India has lifted South Africa into the fourth position. They have 2 wins and 1 loss, with 66.66 percent, 24 points

The WTC Runners up India is ranked fifth, having scored 53 points, but with a percentage of 49.07. This team has won 4 tests, but also lost 3. While the current champions New Zealand is ranked sixth, with 33.33 percentile. Bangladesh is ranked seventh, with 25.0 percentile. West Indies is ranked eighth with 25.0 percentile.

There is no improvement for England’s team. They are in 9th place, with one win and six losses, giving them 10 points and a percentage of 9.25
