Harmanpreet Kaur, born March 8, 1989, is an Indian cricketer who captains the India Women’s National Cricket Team across all formats. She serves as an all-rounder for the Indian women’s cricket team, and she received the Arjuna Award for Cricket from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in 2017.
Harmanpreet Kaur became India’s first woman to score a century in a Women’s Twenty20 International (WT20I) match in November 2018. During the series against South Africa in October 2019, she became the first Indian cricketer, male or female, to play in 100 international Twenty20 matches.
Harmanpreet Kaur was born on March 8, 1989, in Moga, Punjab, to Volleyball and Basketball players Harmandar Singh Bhullar and Satwinder Kaur. She belongs to a Sikh family who have been baptized.
