Pacer Pat Cummins and KL Rahul both are at the top of the record. They both have made half a century within 14 balls. Before them, the record was jointly held by Sunil Narine and Yusuf Pathan. The duo made 50 with 15 balls.
Fastest 50 in IPL- #1
Pat Cummins
Australian Pat Cummins is a member of the Kolkata Knight Rider squad. He made his record of 50 runs out of 14 balls against Mumbai Indians on 6th April. His unbeaten 56 runs led his team to win that match. the record was placed on the ground of Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium.
KL Rahul
Cummins jointly record holder KL Rahul is an Indian wicket-keeper and batsman. He made this record when he was in Punjab Kings (PBKS) franchise. He made the record in April of 2018 against Delhi Capitals. Not only this he has another record in his bag. His knock of not out 132 runs is the highest individual score made by an Indian cricketer in the IPL.
Fastest 50 in IPL- #2
Yusuf Pathan
Previously the record makers were jointly Yusuf Pathan and Sunil Narine. Eden Gardens was the stadium to witness Pathan’s record. The Indian cricketer was an all-rounder, a member of KKR who scored 72 runs in just 15 balls only against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on 24th May 2014.
Sunil Narine
This same record was replayed by West Indies cricketer Sunil Narine in M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. He was in KKR when he scored 54 runs in 15 balls against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in May of 2017.
