Deandra Dottin is a Barbadian cricketer. She made her debut in 2008 for West Indies. Dottin is a right-handed batter and right-arm fast bowler.

Deandra Dottin plays Domestic cricket for Barbados, Adelaide Strikers and Trinbago Knight Riders. In 2018, she was named as the women’s T20 cricketer of the year. In September 2018, she became the third women to play 100 T20 International matches. Recently in the on going WPL that is held in India Gujrat Giants bought her.

Deandra Dottin ruled out due to injury

Gujrat Giants have faced a huge loss as Deandra Dottin got injured. And the West Indies batter had to leave the tournament because of her injury. However, the Gujrat Giant franchise have called for a replacement just before the call for WPL. Australia’s Kim Garth is the new face that added to the squad. GG bid for the Windies player at the INR of 50 lakh. On the other hand Kim went unsold in the auction. She was a part of Australia squad for T20 World cup in South Africa. though, she only played two warm up matches ahead of the tournament.

On Sunday Gujrat Giants confirms that Deandra Dottin could not make it to the medical test as she was suffering through a injury she will not be playing this season of WPL. Gujrat Giants stated ” Dottin is recovering from her injury and Kim Garth is the replacement. the whole team wishes Dottin a speedy recover and welcome Garth as their new player”. The official Instagram handle of Gujrat Giants posted as Kim arrived at the hotel. They posted a picture of Kim along with a caption ‘Another lioness from Down Under’ Kim Garth joins their pride.

After being ruled out from WPL due to the injury, Dottin tweeted ” she leaves everything to God’s hand. God doesn’t sleep, everything is in god’s control”.
