Dean Smith appointed as a new head coach of Norwich City FC


The former Aston Villa manager Dean Smith becomes the head coach of Norwich City. After he was appoint as the new manager of Carrow Road by Norwich in a contract of two and half years. Dean Smith was the preferred choice of the Canaries for the job and the successor of Daniel Farke.


As Norwich sacked their head coach Daniel Farke on November 7 as the Canaries slips to bottom position in the Premier League points table. After a day later of Daniel Farke sacked Dean Smith also got sacked from his service at Villa’s park after his five consecutive defeats in the Premier League.


Although the 50-year-old Smith record at Villa’s park is quite impressive in his 2.5 years with his two successive Premier League campaigns. So, now Dean Smith will join Craig Shakespeare as his assistant coach.


After his appointment, Smith said Norwich is a big club with huge supporters that understand the means of being a part of the club and community. And he was please to come back to the Premier League after seven days with Norwich.


Dean Smith and Former boss of Chelsea Frank Lampard was the top contenders to take the position. But the 43-year-old Lampard took his name back from the list as he didn’t feel the role will fit him at the current stage.


Moreover, the new Canaries boss Dean Smith will take the charge in Carrow Road on the 20th of November in the match against Southampton. Smith will again face Southampton but with the new team as last, he face them when he was the boss of Aston Villa. During the match, he lost against Southampton and then he was sack.
