The four franchises have bought stakes in the MLC T20. Kolkata Knight Riders were the first investor in the league. KKR also bought the Los Angeles franchise. Mumbai Indians, like KKR, will be controlling the New York franchise on their own. MI have team SA20 and ILT20 titled MI Emirates and MI Cape Town.
Chennai Super Kings have gone with a local firm for the Dallas franchise in Texas. Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals will take care of the Seattle-based franchise in partner with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and others.
The fifth team in the MLC T20 2023 is San Francisco Unicorns. Bay Area will be their home ground in the league. Australia’s Cricket Victoria have partnership with San Francisco-based franchise.
