Because most of the Man City senior players are recently return in training or didn’t come back from their vacation. While it is not clear that City boss what lineups will be present by Pep at Wembley. It will be all under 23 players or a mixed team with senior players

Manchester Lineups could be:

The Man city defence will be not that issue for Pep because most of his senior defenders are back from their vacation in the training session and also played the friendly match.

The defence could be featuring Ruben Dias, Benjamin Mendy, Joao Cancelo and Nathan Ake.

Manchester City captain and one of the most experienced midfielders of City Fernandinho is the first senior player to return to City in a training session and at pre-season.

Fernandinho will be the most preferred choice of Pep for midfield lineups at Wembley along with Another senior midfielder Elkay Gundogan who also return to the squad. But the other senior midfielder Kevin de Bruyne and Rodri recently return to the squad after their Euro 202p games.

The availability of both Kevin de Bruyne and Rodri in the Community Shield final seems a little bit doubtful because both of them recently join in the training session and don’t play any preseason with the team.

If both of them play in the last preseason against Blackpool before the final then it can be a chance that they will be a feature in the Wembley final. The other midfielder choice for Pep will be the young midfielders, Cole Palmer and Claudio.

In the absence of their regular striker Grabiel Jesus and no new signing for the replacement of Sergio Aguero as he departs this summer to Barcelona

The recently return Bernardo
Silva could be a feature in the absence of Grabiel Jesus in the final if he plays the pre-season match against Blackpool. Ben Knight also in the list for striker role in the Final at Saturday as Pep is quite happy with Ben with his performance in the preseason.

In the right flank their star player Riyad Mahrez will be the first choice of Pep at flanks as Mahrez has already played 2 preseason matches with City and absence of Phil Foden, he didn’t return to the squad.

At left flanks, they’re a regular starter, Rahim Sterling is not return to the squad. In the absence of Sterling the Pep could go with Samuel Edozie
