The top two names in the list of the longest six in IPL history are categorized with a distance of 1 meter. This shows how Cricketers come close to each other in Record history. In the same list, 5th to 7th holders are in a common margin of 119 meters. Again the 8th, 9th, and 10th positions holders are on the record of the same distance.
On the other hand, in the record of IPL’s biggest six, every record holder added their name with different margins respectively.

Albie Morkel, the former South Africa all-rounder has the record for the longest six of IPL. He has set the longest margin in the first season of the Indian Premier League itself. He hit the six with a distance of 125 meters in 2008 against, then franchise Deccan Chargers’ left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha. Chennai Super Kings’ all-rounder’s this record is still standing straight even after all these years.
The next name comes surprisingly from former Indian fast bowler Praveen Kumar. He was a member of the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) squad when he hit the 124-meter second IPL biggest six against Mumbai Indians’ Lasith Malinga in 2013.

In third, finally, Chris Gayle marked his name in the 3rd position. His longest six is 119 meters in one of his great IPL tournaments in 2013. It happened against Ashok Dinda during his 175-not-out knock. The Universe Boss also has a record of hitting the most maximums in IPL. He hit 357 sixes in 141 innings just. Ross Taylor and Yuvraj Singh also joined hands in this 119-meter record.

In 8th, 9th, and 10th positions are held with the same record of 117 meters. Gautam Gambhir, Ben Cutting, and Liam Livingstone are three names marked on this record. Kolkata knight Riders’ Gambhir hit this in 2013 against Rajasthan Royals pacer S Sreesanth. Then Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Ben Cutting replayed the record in 2016. And then after six years in 2022, Punjab Kings’ Livingstone joined them.

In the Biggest six hits, Thalaiva MS Dhoni joined the record list of biggest six in IPL history in 2019 with 11 long meters six. Royal Challengers Bangalore’s AB de Villiers marked two times in this biggest six list, first in 2015 at 108 meters then in 2018 at 111 meters.
