Another blow for Mumbai Indians is Australian bowler Jhye Richardson has been ruled out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 due to his undergoing surgery. He was with five times IPL winner Mumbai Indians and he was ready to join the team physically. But he had to leave it because of his undergoing surgery. Mumbai Indians though are not happy with the news as their key-pacer Jasprit Bumrah is also out of this season. He is on six months’ rest after his surgery.
So, it is to watch MI’s new planning against these odds as they are yet to make an announcement about their substitute. The pacer is not a new candidate in IPL. He was previously a player of Punjab Kings (PBKS) in this league. But he also can miss the Ashes too.
The Pacer’s Playing History
The pacer has played Tests only three times and ODIs and T20Is 15 and 18 times respectively. Earlier he was ruled out for three ODIs against team India. He got his hamstring injury last week.
Richardson’s tweet
The 26-year-old Australian Pacer Jhye Richardson has tweeted that injuries are part of cricket, commenting an “art of cricket”, though it is absolutely frustrating. He is ready to back into form and work hard for it. He also posted a picture along with it.
